what to expect...
If you are visiting Grace for the first time, we want to welcome you and hope that you feel the presence of God in your life through GBC and its people. Our desire is for you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging and challenging Bible-based sermons, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are all a part of Grace. It is our mission to minister to every member of your family, from your littlest ones in our nursery, to your older kids in children’s church, to YOU in our main service.
Practically, on your first visit:
Arrive early. Our services are usually packed! If you arrive late, the parking lot will be full and you may have to park further down the street and wait until the worship part of the service is over for seats to be vacated by children dismissed to their K.I.D.S. Church classes.
If you’re worried about a dress code…don’t. Come dressed as you feel most comfortable. Some will be “dressed up” and some will be “dressed down.” Man looks on the outward appearance. God looks upon the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7) Just be yourself.
As you enter the church, you will be welcomed at the door and given a church bulletin and an information packet about our church.
If you have children under 3, you are welcome to use one of our two safe, sanitary nurseries for babies and toddlers staffed by loving, dedicated nursery workers. These nurseries are on the 2nd floor at the end of the hallway.
Children ages 3-12 attend the worship service until dismissed to K.I.D.S. Church by the pastor before the sermon. (“K.I.D.S.” stands for "Kids in Divine Service.")
Help yourself to a cup of coffee or tea in the HeBrews Café, or to water from the Culligan water cooler in the hallway on the second floor.
Inside the Welcome Packet you will receive will be a Welcome Card for you to fill out so we can find out a little more about you and give you the opportunity to volunteer at GBC or request a visit from the pastor.
If you choose to keep a child in the service with you, use the HeBrews Café if he or she becomes disruptive. You can listen to the rest of the sermon through speakers in the HeBrews Café.
If there is anything we can do to better minister to you and your family, just let us know. We look forward to seeing you soon.
