Associate Pastor Steve Kissling
About our Associate Pastor and His Family...

Steve and Debbie Kissling were married in 1973 and both attended Indiana Baptist College in Indianapolis Indiana where they graduated in 1976. They soon attended training in Warrenton, Missouri to be Child Evangelism Directors in Terre Haute, Indiana. They worked with local Bible-believing churches to offer teacher training classes to help others teach and reach boys and girls with the Gospel. They taught Bible clubs during the school year and 5-Day Bible clubs during the summer months.

In 1981 they left Terre Haute to move to Pensacola, Florida to work at the Pensacola Christian Schools Ministry. Steve worked as a printer for A Beka Books and Debbie taught in the 4 year-old kindergarten. In the summer of 1984 they moved back to Indiana. Steve continued working as a printer, first at God’s Simple Plan of Salvation tract ministry, and then later as a commercial printer in downtown Indianapolis. Debbie taught K-5 at Chapel Hill Christian school, a ministry of the church they were attending. Debbie taught for twenty years at this school.

In 2003 The Lord led Steve back into full-time minsitry again. Steve had become a Christian while in the U.S. Navy as a young man. The Lord began to lay it upon Steve’s heart to reach and minister to men and women serving in the military. This led to the Kissling’s being accepted as missionaries by Baptist International Missions, Inc. in 2003. After raising support they felt the Lord leading them to come work with Chuck and Susan Sligh at the Grace Baptist Church in Grafenwoehr.

Steve and Debbie have two sons and two grandchildren. Matthew and his wife, Erin have a boy and a girl and live in Indianapolis. Philip served in the Air Force for six years and now also lives and works in Indianapolis.
